Love in Action - NW

Join us as we serve our great community! 

On Saturday November 15th, we’ll gather together as a church family to spread the love of Jesus through practical acts of service. From restocking food pantries, painting, mowing lawns, and delivering hygiene packets—there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved.

Families, small groups, and individuals are all invited to participate. This is the perfect opportunity to serve side by side and make a lasting impact in our city.

Schedule for the Day:

• 7:45AM – Arrive at the church, meet your team lead, grab coffee & breakfast tacos
• 9:00AM–12:00PM – Head out to assigned projects and serve together

Serve Day Shirts
We’ll be wearing the same Love in Action shirts as last year! Shirts will be available for purchase for $10, at the Info Booth.

We will be serving the following organizations.

• Mens Adult and Teen Challenge (Family Friendly) (Drug and addiction rehab program)
  • Exterior and interior painting (basic painting skills helpful but not required)
  • Landscaping (planting flowers/creating or refreshing flower beds)
  • Pressure washing
  • Deck staining
  • Cleaning and organizing our mechanic shop and wood shop
  • General campus cleanup and light maintenance
    
    
• Women's  Teen Challenge (family friendly) (Drug and addiction rehab program)
  • Gardening 
  • Painting

• Daily Bread (Family Friendly: children under 5 must be 1:1 ratio with adult) (Daily Bread distributes food boxes to ministry partners like transitional housing facilities, rehab homes, and children's outreach ministries)
  • Packing food boxes

• Grace House (Women 18+ only)(Trains, supports and gives hope to women following incarceration or those in the midst of perilous lifestyle)
  • Devotional, provide lunch, decorating for Christmas

• Haven for Hope (ages 10+ only under 15 accompanied by an adult) (Provides, coordinates, and delivers an efficient system of care for people experiencing homelessness in San Antonio)
  • Donation Center Support, Fleet Cleaning, Mat Cleaning

• Davidson Respite (ages 9+ only) (Emergency shelters dedicated to the care of children with special)
  • Beautification Day

•  Harpers Chapel (serves kids and homeless in the most impoverished zip code in all of San Antonio)
  • Community Clean Up 
  • Cooking unhoused breakfast  

• Agora Outreach (Family Friendly) 
  • Building Fooding bags
  • Passing our bags into local Community
  • 
    
• Agora Service Project(Family Friendly)
  • Beautification Day 

• GFC Westside (Family Friendly)
  • Inviting families for the block party, hosting games for kids, passing out food, and sharing the message of hope in Jesus at the Cassiano Housing projects

• San Antonio Food Bank (8+)
  • Sorting through canned goods
  • General cleaning
  • Breaking down boxes

• Fire Stations
  • making breakfast for the fire fighters and first responders, cleaning fire trucks
